Best Singer of her Generation k.d. lang
opens Belleayre Festival¹s 20th Season July 3

Highmount, NY k.d. lang brings her extraordinary vocal talents to the Belleayre Music Festival on Sunday, July 3 at p.m. to open the festival¹s 20th season in grand style.
The special anniversary show by k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang promises an spectacular evening by k.d., hailed by Tony Bennett as ³the best singer of her generation.²
k.d.¹s new release, ³Sing It Loud,² is burning up the charts. Her live performances are always awe-inspiring, as evidenced by her understatedly stunning rendition of ³Hallelujah² at the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
A multi-Grammy winner k.d., launched her career with a blend of country-rock stylings and a playfully punk-like attitude, by turns whimsical and subversive. Back then, she practically put the alternative in alt-country.
Her bravura singing has always belied her kitschy cowgirl outfits and spiky hair. Despite the quirky façade, k.d.¹s superlative vocal prowess has always been her true calling card.
k.d.¹s first taste of commercial success came with the release of the elegantly sensual Constant Craving. She has continued to add legions of fans through a body of work in which she pursues an adventurous exploration of musical genres.
Opening act The Belle Brigade has produced one of the year¹s most highly praised debuts and concert-goers will want make sure they arrive early to hear this talented group.
