Two-time Grammy winner, jazz singer Diane Schuur and youngest of the Marsalis brothers, percussionist Jason Marsalis, lead an all-star, 12-piece jazz ensemble in a memorable tribute to Lionel Hampton who played the Belleayre Music Festival with his big band 17 years ago.

Vocalist/pianist Diane Schuur is as eclectic as she is brilliant. A longtime disciple of Dinah Washington and other legendary jazz singers of the '40s and '50s, Schuur has built a stellar career by embracing not only the jazz of her parents' generation, but also the pop music of her own youth during the late 1950s and '60s. Her music has explored nearly every corner of the 20th century American musical landscape.

Since 2000, Jason has been a mainstay in the New Orleans scene as a bandleader. His groups have performed at premier jazz festivals and have also appeared at many of the foremost jazz venues throughout the US and Europe. Since the release of 2008's Music Update, a growing legion of listeners are recognizing Jason for his unique sound on the vibraphones.

Warren Wolf's critically acclaimed debut CD entitled "Warren Wolf" garnered comments like "If this is a sign of things to come, look out!" This new young gun vibraphonist's versatility, musicality, and sheer talent leave a deep and lasting impression, and a penetrating hunger for more. What's immediately apparent is that Warren Wolf's style of play is firmly rooted in the finest traditions of Bebop jazz; so much so that when closing ones eyes and listening intently you will find yourself picturing some of the great legends like Bobby Hutcherson, Charlie Parker, and Dizzy, standing and nodding in the background completely satisfied that their torch will be eternally burning bright in the very capable hands of Mr. Wolf. His effortless play and range are at times simply astounding. Wolf's impeccable timing and sensitivity will simply leave you breathless in amazement at the sheer technical genius and skill level of this 31-year-old. His speed of play, clarity, and flawless transitions are nothing short of breath-taking. In a word, Warren Wolf's is "Blazing".
