For the first time, The Belleayre Conservatory and The Arts Society of Kingston are proud to present the Sunday Children's Jazz Concert, designed to provide an enjoyable introduction to jazz styles for the entire family. Jazz for kids, spearheaded by Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, has proven that given the opportunity, kids will get as turned on to improvisational music as they do to hip-hop. This family presentation will be participatory as well as instructional. It will feature the HVYJO’s junior lab band made up of players ages 12 – 14 as well as members of the senior band.
